He has been managing nursing homes since 1990 following a successful career in the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist. Karen Howell is the General Manager and is responsible for the nursing care and the staff at Inglewood Nursing Home.
Care Home - Team Leaders
Inglewood has a group of team leaders who are members of staff trained to NVQ level 3 and have some supervisory responsibility for the new and less experienced staff. The Team Leaders also take responsibility for a particular area in the house incorporating about eight residents each for which they have day-to-day responsibility regarding their personal care, tidying of rooms and that extra special attention to detail.

Inglewood prides itself on the high standard of care we give our Residents twenty four hours a day, from our friendly and caring staff.
Fifty percent of our Health Care Assistants are trained to NVQ level 2 or 3 and our Team Leaders are trained to NVQ Level 3 in Direct Care and Management skills. Canford Healthcare has its own training centre with staff qualified as Internal NVQ Assessors,Moving and Handling Trainers, a Nurse Training Mentor and Practice Supervisors.
